ATTORNEY GENERAL BRADY TO ATTEND WHITE HOUSE ROSE GARDEN EVENT
President Bush will discuss the creation of the Department of Homeland Security
(Wilmington, DE): On Friday, July 26th at 8 a.m., Delaware Attorney General Jane Brady will attend a Rose Garden ceremony, hosted by President George W. Bush, at the White House. The topic will be the creation of a new Department of Homeland Security. President Bush has called on Congress to act on a bill to establish the new department before their August recess.
Attorney General Brady will join Attorneys General Al Lance from Idaho and Bill Pryor from Alabama, as well as Cabinet Officials, Members of Congress, and other State and Local Officials, Police Officers and Firefighters from around the country, in support of the new Department of Homeland Security.
Attorney General Brady said, "I am excited about the leadership this President has shown. He is striving to find the right balance between protecting citizens and respecting their rights. I am pleased to have been asked to participate in this event."
