ATTORNEY GENERAL JANE BRADY
TO RECEIVE LIFETIME OF COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD
Wilmington (DE): On Saturday, June 11, 2005, Attorney General Jane Brady will be
recognized by Women Networking in Southern Delaware, Inc. (WNSD) and the Points
of Light Foundation. Attorney General Brady will receive a lifetime of community
and volunteer service award, which includes recognition from this Delaware
women's non profit organization, a Points of Light medal and a congratulatory
letter from President George W. Bush. The ceremony will take place on Saturday
at 9:00 a.m. at Notting Hill Cafi, 546 North DuPont Highway, Georgetown (on the
northbound side of RT-113).
"This is our first lifetime recognition that we are awarding," Rhonda
H. Tuman, co-founder and president of WNSD says, "and we are very pleased
to be presenting it to Jane. She has been an ardent supporter both in time and
resources of one of our programs, Girl Power Delaware Leadership Center, nearly
attending every monthly meeting and all of our social activities since the
program began three years ago. Through her leadership, the Delaware Department
of Justice co-sponsored the Cyber Girls' Conference this past April. She is also
a regular contributor to a publication that WomenNetworking publishes, Secret No
More."
To be eligible for these awards, the recipient has had to perform 4,000 hours of
volunteer service in a lifetime. The WNSD award requires a lifetime of service
to women and girls in southern Delaware.
The public is invited to the presentation, which will be made as part of the
WNSD Annual Meeting. There is no cost to attend, by RSVP is required by Friday,
