DELAWARE ATTORNEY GENERAL

DISPOSITIONS IN CASES/HOW TO CONTACT PROBATION

New Castle County
In cases where the crime was committed on campus, after the Court has issued an order, the Attorney General's Office will send a copy of the Order or plea agreement to the school where the offense occurred. Please read the conditions on these orders carefully, as some of them may affect your school. For instance, most juvenile offenders will be ordered to attend school and classes, exert their best efforts, and have no unlawful contact with a particular person while in school.

All Counties
If the student has been placed on probation and you wish to inform the probation officer of a possible violation of probation, please contact juvenile probation. The correct number to call is based upon the student's home address. Contact numbers are as follows:

Wilmington, Claymont, or New Castle call 577-6011
Newark, Middletown, Newport Area call Sharon Beale at 995-8230
Sussex County 856-5663
Kent County 739-5381

When calling probation, please leave your name, title, and number, and the juvenile's name and date of birth. The secretary will not be able to give out any information about the juvenile, but will take your information and have the appropriate probation officer return your call.
